International Thespian society
The International Thespian Society is an honor society for theatre arts students. Membership in the only international honor society for high school theatre arts students—a recognized demonstration of achievement and a valuable addition to college and employment applications. ITS has Leadership opportunities at the troupe, chapter, and national levels, eligibility for scholarships, grants, and awards through EdTA and its chapters and eligibility to audition at the International Thespian Festival for admission to college theatre programs
National Honor Society for Dance Arts
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts™ (NHSDA) is a program of the National Dance Education Organization, created to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance in public and private schools in K-12 education, dance studios, cultural/community centers, performing arts organizations, and post-secondary education. The NHSDA chapter at LIHSA is one very important way to honor your students and help advance the field of dance education.
The National Art Honor Society
The National Art Honor Society is an organization in which its members serve the school and community by promoting the visual arts. In 1978, the National Art Education Association (NAEA) began the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) program specifically for high school students, for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of the highest standards in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.

Tri-M® Music Honor Society offers high school students, grades 9 through 12, the chance to perform, places them in leadership positions, and gives them the opportunity to serve the community. It highlights the school’s music program, helps students grow in innumerable ways, and brightens their college applications.

High 5 Tickets to the Arts is ArtsConnection’s resource for young people to experience the best dance, music, theater, film, and visual arts New York City (and sometimes New Jersey and Westchester!) has to offer – for only $5 a ticket. (Yes, you heard us right!) All you have to do is be a middle or high school student and you can join in on the fun. And, for every student ticket, an adult can get a $5 ticket too. What are you waiting for?
ACCESS TO THE ARTS
The purpose of Access to the Arts is to develop young audiences by making the arts affordable and accessible to students, as well as offering special teen programming. The program enables students in middle school, high school, and college between the ages of 13 and 19 to purchase tickets for any affiliated event for only $5 each, unless otherwise noted.
