Field Trip: Escape Room

LIHSA’s Production and Managerial Arts students took part in a great day of challenging fun, hands on-learning, and awesome food.

The students went into one of three available rooms and had an hour to complete the puzzles and escape from the room. All the groups succeeded!

After escaping, the students had a variety of choices for lunch that included mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and other appetizers. After lunch, every student participated in creating a part of the “locking” system for the rooms. The workshop involved cutting wires, attaching the wires to boxes, and final to a laptop. Students then programmed the locks by using a coding language.

The day ended with a behind the scenes visit of the control room and a testing of some of the effects in one of the rooms such as water spraying, spark activating, and snow making.

The students enjoyed the entire experience saying, “This was the best escape room I’ve been to, and I want to come back.” The owners of RYCO’s Escaper Room (Ryan and Cody) as well as their staff provided a professional and fun experience.

Thank you to Mr. Minerva and Mr. Vaiano for creating this exciting experience for our students. Keep scrolling for photos.
