Marty Lyons Foundation Evening of Thanks Gala

LIHSA students gave back this month! Visual Arts and Music students helped support the November 13, 2025 Marty Lyons Foundation Evening of Thanks Gala at the Bourne Mansion in Oakdale. The Foundation grants special wishes for children between the ages of 3 to 17 who have been diagnosed with life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

Our Visual Arts students created a photo backdrop for Ellie, the guest of honor. Music students Emily Lima (Carle Place UFSD) and Liam Dunn (Massapequa UFSD) performed at the Gala.

In addition to LIHSA – Nassau BOCES other premier CTE schools – Barry Tech and GC Tech – also played a part in making a magical evening for the guest of honor at the gala. This special evening included visits from Disney characters as well as the ultimate surprise – a trip to Disney World. It was a heart-warming and special evening. Keep scrolling to see photos.
