Double the Fun with LIHSA Siblings: Tagan & Aeres Moran

Tagan & Aeres Moran

Students learn about LIHSA through all sorts of mediums, including seeing a sibling thrive at the school.  This is true for Tagan Moran who even got to overlap his brother, Aeres, by a year!

Tagan and Aeres are from Levittown; Tagan is a current LIHSA student, a senior and Aeres graduated in 2025. They both studied multi-media film and television at LIHSA and Aeres is majoring in Film at LIU.

The brothers had natural inspiration at home – their father is in the film industry, and they loved watching movies together as kids. Tagan shared that this love deepened when he watched the movie Whiplash. “It made me appreciate cinema as art,” he said.

As a precursor to making films, Aeres & Tagan would create skits together when they were young. They had the opportunity to collaborate at LIHSA last year when they were in school together (click here to watch their work). And they’d enjoy working together in the future.

Tagan has loved meeting so many new people at LIHSA and improving his skills. A highlight has also been working last year with visiting guest artist Charlie Foerschner, who also attended Nassau BOCES and now works at the Daily Show (click here to read a blog about Charlie’s work in the classroom last year).

Tagan is excited to compete again this year at Skills USA. He hopes to enter the Cinema category and progress from regionals to the state competition.

Tagan aspires to be a director and writer in the film industry. And definitely hopes to collaborate once again with his brother, Aeres.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Moran Brothers!
