Getting to Know You: John Vaiano

John Vaiano

We are so pleased to welcome John Vaiano as our new Production Managerial Arts teacher. Let’s get to know him.

A lifelong Wantagh resident, John Vaiano has always been drawn to Production and Managerial Arts. In high school, he was a technician for the theater productions and he went on to earn a BFA from Adelphi University in Theater Tech.

Upon graduation, John launched into a career as a full-time freelancer providing tech support, lighting, and sound design to all sorts of events.

John finds ways to give back to his community using his skills and expertise. For example, when the Boy Scouts opened their doors to all genders, certain facilities needed to be updated. John and a friend raised funds and donated the time and money to making renovations on campus, including installing new restrooms.

When he’s not working, John loves being on the water. Whether jet skiing, boating, or fishing, he finds spending time at Captree State Park or on lakes in upstate New York relaxing.

John’s looking forward to engaging students to have a good understanding of production and managerial arts for college and their career. Welcome John!
