In the Classroom with Lynn Antunovich

Lynn Antunovich is a New York native with a dancer’s discipline and an actor’s heart. She earned her BFA in Acting from West Virginia University and after graduation headed to New York City to deepen her craft, where she was fortunate enough to study with incredible teachers like June Stein, Bob Krakower, and The Barrow Group. In 2011, Lynn stepped behind the scenes and discovered a new creative love: directing. Since then, she has juggled auditioning, coaching, and directing with equal parts of passion and caffeine.

Antunovich is working with Mr. Vaiano’s Production Managerial Arts students teaching them directing from a technical theater aspect as well as from an acting side. They will read the play Proof and stage their own scenes. The students are excited for this new experience.

Mr. Vaiano is glad to welcome Lynn as a guest artist. She is a passionate professional and works directly with the students to provide her real-world experience.

Nova Capace, a senior from W. Tresper Clarke High School, expressed how exciting it is to learn directing from other standpoints. She was looking forward to working with a director who is so knowledgeable and is thrilled to continue working with Mrs. Antunovich for the rest of the semester.

As Lynn says about herself, she is a lifelong theater nerd with an unshakeable love for actors and storytelling in all its forms. We are very fortunate to have Lynn as a new guest artist this year at LIHSA!
