Jane Eyre at Lincoln Center!

On February 15, 2026, while most LIHSA students and faculty began their Mid Winter Recess, sixteen LIHSA students joined the cast of a one-night-only concert version of Jane Eyre at Lincoln Center. The students participated in a chorus with over 300 voices accompanied by the New York City Chamber Orchestra, together bringing to life the music and lyrics by Paul Gordon and book by John Caird.

The production, directed by Tony Yazbeck (Stage Director) and Brad Haak (Music Director), featured Broadway stars Erika Henningsen (Just in Time, Mean Girls) as Jane Eyre and Ramin Karimloo (Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera) as Edward Fairfax Rochester, alongside Caroline Bowman, David Michael Garry, Ellen Harvey, Marc Kudisch, Emily Skinner, Elizabeth Stanley, and Brittany Nicole Williams.

LIHSA Faculty member Kimberly Larkin guided the students through rehearsals and the concert. She shares, “This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to not only perform with Broadway stars the likes of Erica Henningsen and Ramin Karimloo at Lincoln Center but to get to observe over 4 days the top creatives in this industry put together a show with every person involved from composer/lyricist to director/choreographers in just four days of rehearsal. They sang as part of an over 300 student chorus from all over the country and represented our school as the true professionals they are. The sold-out concert was absolutely breathtaking and I am so proud of them.”

Senior Lily Wasoski from Huntington shared, “Performing in Jane Eyre was one of the highlights of my high school career for sure; it was so much fun to be working side-by-side with professionals like Erika Henningsen and Ramin Karimloo whom I have looked up to for a while. Not to mention working in such an iconic space as David Geffen Hall was an unforgettable experience, and I am so grateful for this opportunity!”
