Lucky at LIHSA!

We may all be a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, but our LIHSA community is lucky everyday to be just that…a community of talented and passionate artists.

Administrators:

Lindsay Rogan: I consider my lucky because I get to work with the most talented students on Long Island that make me smile each and every day!  LIHSA students are not only talented but kind.  They make LIHSA a safe and supportive school. 

Faculty/Staff:

Mr. Minerva: What makes LIHSA “lucky”/ special for me is the opportunity to collaborate with students who bring the same drive and curiosity that I do.

Mrs. Morgan: As an educator, I am lucky to work with the most talented young filmmakers on Long Island. This is and always will be my dream career.

Mr. Dorcemus: I’m lucky to be at LIHSA where I spend each day surrounded by people  obsessed with creativity.

Rachel Ferrara: I feel lucky at LIHSA because I am surrounded by such joy, talent, and passion every day from the students and staff! Art is so essential for fostering connections, understanding culture, and driving innovation, making it such an invaluable part of the human experience. Being around daily creativity ignites my own passions and expressive outlets in my free time!

Game Design Students: 

Judah Parker: I feel lucky to be at LIHSA because I am able to spend half my school day doing what I am interested in while meeting other people with similar interests.

Kai Artusa: Only at LIHSA do I get to celebrate Miku day!

Angelina Tinney: I get to practice Pixel Art where I otherwise wouldn’t.

Production Managerial Arts Students:

Maya Valderrama: Because my teacher rocks, he’s a chill guy.

Calieb Griffith: I get to learn about Tech Theatre every day!

Sofia DiPasquale: I feel lucky at LIHSA because of the incredible faculty and support given here.

Molly Gorelick: I feel lucky at LIHSA because of my friends and learning meaningful things.

TV/Film Students:

Andy Navetta: I’m lucky to be at LIHSA because I have found a group of people who understand and accept me.

Tagan Moran: I get to do and learn about the thing I’m most passionate about.

Nathan Sterling: I feel lucky at LIHSA because of the consistent proximity to industry  professionals and career opportunities. 

Anthony Scelta: I get to meet all the cool guest artists in my field. 

Kingsley Ngitngit: I can make projects that I’m proud of.

Skills Class Students: 

Samuel Zinn: I am lucky to be a student at LIHSA, it reminds me of how talented I am and how proud I am of that.

Visual Art Students

Manuela Guerra: I am lucky to be at LIHSA because I like doing art and meeting different people.

3D Animation Students:

Noah Thomison: I get to be creative.

Xen Naimushyna: I feel lucky to attend LIHSA because it gives me a huge head start on my career.

Performing Arts Students:

Julia Dean (AM 1st year Theatre): I’m lucky to be at LIHSA because you receive more of an education in the arts than other schools  provide. LIHSA also allows me to meet people with similar interests and learn what it’s like to work  in a professional environment.

Jack Sullivan (AM 2nd year Theatre): I’m lucky to be at LIHSA because it completely changed the way I look at all aspects of performing  arts. The respect and commitment I now have for the arts and everyone who takes part in them will  continue on forever.

Drue Miller (PM 1st year Theatre): I’m lucky to be at LIHSA because I’ve met so many lifelong friends that support me in everything I  do! 

Tiffany  Gfrerer (PM 2nd year Theatre): I feel lucky to be at LIHSA because there are so many opportunities to work on my craft.

Cora Jones (PM 2nd year Theatre): I feel lucky at LIHSA because it’s where I’ve met all my favorite people.

Lina Murale (AM Dance): I feel lucky to be at LIHSA because it is an incredible community where I learn valuable skills every  day. I’ve also met some of my lifelong mentors and friends at LIHSA!

Melanie  Sangurima (PM Dance): I feel lucky to be at LIHSA because I get to do what I love everyday with friends.

Matthew Pagliarulo (AM Music): I feel lucky to be at LIHSA because I’m learning how to be the best musician I can be and skills that would take me years to learn on my own.

Charlotte Saxton (PM Music): I feel lucky to be at LIHSA because I get to surround myself with likeminded and talented  musicians who also love being here.
