Monologue Competition April 2024
Long Island High School for the Arts was thrilled to be invited back to Nassau Community College’s Annual Monologue Competition. The event was held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 and was attended by Elif Daspinar, Sara Nearenberg, Elizabeth Lynch, and AJ Carbone. These talented actors were chaperoned by Kim Larkin who worked with students in their acting classes this year to prepare them for college auditions and events like this!
Students enjoyed workshops from industry leaders and lunch on campus before competing for either best monologue or contrasting monologues. The judges panel was made up by professors from Nassau Community College, NCC Alumni who were in BFA programs, and professional actors.
AJ earned 1st place for Contrasting Monologues overall! Congratulations AJ and to all of the LIHSA actors who represented the school!
