Explore the arts with students who share a similar passion. And learn from instructors who have turned their own passions into successful careers. If you are in middle or high school, there is a Long Island High School for the Arts summer program for you. You’ll master tools, materials and techniques. And leave inspired and thirsty for more.

The Summer Arts Academy program is for students in 6-12 grades who wish to spend the month of July involved in the arts. There is no audition for acceptance to the summer program, which affords students the opportunity to work with many of our arts faculty gaining training the areas of Digital Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Musical Theater, Instrumental and Vocal Music and Special Effects. In addition, students participate in many school activities. Special Master Classes, field trips to museums and shows, add unique cultural experiences to this very exciting program.

New this year, LIHSA  has partnered with Hofstra!

The Hofstra Continuing Education Department and Nassau BOCES LIHSA partnership offers a wide range of programs designed to motivate young minds and propel career inspirations in the arts. Programs available for students entering grades 6-12.

This exciting partnership offers a wide selection of amazing learning opportunities for teens, featuring hands-on classes that provide real life and situational training that can jumpstart a successful career. A fantastic way to gain experience in a desired career or discipline.
