Fun with our Puzzles and Games Class

This year in Puzzles and Games class, Game Design students learned about different board and card games.  This helped students to learn the strategy and storytelling of gaming. One of the games discussed in class was called Magic: The Gathering.

The experience was positive for students as they learned and played the game.  This was made possible by the website and charitable organization Magikids. https://magikids.org/.

This organization turns unused Magic cards into learning and fun for kids across the U.S. By donating a large box of cards to LIHSA students, our young gamers build their own decks and keep them in safe card sleeves. The students enjoyed reading all the different cards and sorting them. Students returning next year are looking forward to continuing to play the game because of its great fun and social factors.
