Long Island Regional Student Forum 2026
The Long Island Regional Student Forum at St. Joseph’s University was held on Friday, February 27, 2026 and this annual event brought together high school students from across Long Island for a day centered on student voice. The forum provided a space for students to engage in student-led discussions about the issues that matter most to them.
LIHSA was represented by Brianna Pucci (Island Park UFSD), Elizabeth Paulino (East Meadow UFSD) and Ex-Officio Student Board Member Angelina Castro-Boutin (Westbury UFSD). These students discussed the importance of BOCES and what LIHSA has provided for them during their high school experience. Mental health, academic pressures, school climate, social media, and the balance between school and personal life were among discussions across the conference.
Thank you Ms. Stencel and Ms. LaCorte for not only chaperoning the trip, but for preparing our students to share what matters most to them. Keep scrolling to see photos from the day.
