This week, Ms. Giglio Pac caught up with Annalise Taylor, a junior from Massapequa.

Annalise shared that she has designed an A-Line dress with a large collar. The dress design was inspired by the mod style that is making a comeback and was created to match a sweater she has already made for her dog, Murphy. Murphy is a Chiweenie – small dog with short hair – so the clothes Annalise makes is not only often sewn while he sits on her lap, but he welcomes the warmth they bring him.

In the future look for Annalise’s new business venture: selling dog sweaters! We can’t wait to see more of Annalise’s beautiful work.

Jiana Gasazza

The debut edition of “Dismissal Diaries” features a conversation with Jiana Casazza, a Senior from Half Hollow Hills.

Jiana shared the exciting news that she – along with other LIHSA students Jessica Nunez, Amani Rodriguez, Patrick O’Neill, Samantha Fales, and Emily Doreste – will be performing in “A Chorus Line” next month at Cultural Arts Playhouse in Merrick. The play runs from February 4-20 and ticket information will be available on their website soon.

Jiana plays the role of Judy Turner and reports that the entire cast has been working very hard at rehearsals. This musical about dancers is physically demanding but rewarding.

Ms. Giglio Pac was especially excited that Jiana and so many other LIHSA students are performing at the Cultural Arts Playhouse.  Her own performance debut as a high school junior was on their main stage in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Can’t wait to see our own LIHSA Student Superstars perform next month!
