LIHSA is offering two distinctive weeks for younger campers the last two weeks of June 2021. Younger students will have a blast both inside and outside, make new friends, and learn about creative visual and performing arts!   Please contact Dr. Chris Rogutsky at crogutsky@nasboces.org for more information and to find out how to sign up.

Week 1 – June 21st to June 25th

Move, Create and Perform!

The first week will focus on a medley of classes, allowing our young campers to experience the best of what LIHSA has to offer.  From daily movement classes, songwriting activities, theatrical exercises, to create a musical soundscape, students will sample many robust aspects of the arts with LIHSA’s distinguished faculty.

Week 2 – June 28th to July 2nd

Puppetry!

During the second week, students will wake up with daily drumming classes. Students will combine a comfort in dramatic play and artistic creation to create personalized and meaningful puppets, and through speech and movement animate them to interact on their own and with other puppets.

By the end of the week campers will:

Have an understanding of how to make a puppet.

Have the ability to bring a puppet to life.

Understand how to perform a character.

Safety is Our Priority. 

  • Significantly reduced capacity to allow for maximum safety for all.
  • Social Distancing-students and staff no less than 6 feet apart.
  • We clean, sanitize, and disinfect our facility multiple times daily.
  • Masks are required for all staff and students within the facility.

LIHSA has been operating live on campus in an arts context, since September as a 5 day a week program.

$700 per week

Is lunch provided?

No, students should bring a bagged lunch and they will eat this lunch in our outdoor courtyard.

No, there is no before and after care.
